Dennis Hartman (http://smallbusiness.chron.com/examples-niche-retail-companies-13591.html) says that a niche retailer is a business that sells a single type of product or goods within a specific category. An example would be a store that only sells formal ties, their market would be formal, businessmen.

What is the definition of heterogeneous and homogenous?

The Longman Active Study Dictionary defines Heterogeneous as "having parts or members that are very different from each other". It defines Homogeneous as "consisting of parts or members that are all the same".
